Get your rabbit r1 ready
Open the box, remove your rabbit r1 from the packaging, and then review the tips below to get your r1 ready.
- Save the plastic case. Your r1 comes in a folding case that can be used as a charging stand and storage case.
- Take off the screen peel. Gently peel off and remove the screen protector from your r1.
- Charge your r1. Make sure to plug in your r1 with a USB-C charging cable before you start the set up process. Your r1 does not come with a charging cable or power adapter.
Activate your rabbit r1
Follow the quick steps below to set up your rabbit r1.
- Power on your r1. Hold down the side button until you see the r1 logo appear on screen.
- Connect to the internet. Select your local Wi-Fi network and follow the on-screen prompts to connect. Your r1 needs to stay connected to the internet through Wi-Fi to complete set up.
- Login to the rabbithole and activate your r1. Go to rabbit.tech/activate and create a new rabbithole account or log in to an existing account. Scan the QR code with your r1 device to finish activation.
- Create a passcode. On your r1, set a four digit passcode that you will remember.
- Get the latest over-the-air (OTA) updates. Connect your r1 to a charger and download the latest OTA updates.

Use your rabbit r1
After you finish the initial set up of your rabbit r1, an interactive tutorial will appear on the screen and show you the basics of how to interact with your r1.

- Adjust the settings. On the home screen, scroll up twice to open the settings menu.
