How to change the security code on your rabbit r1

When you first set up your rabbit r1, you will be prompted to create a 4-8 digit security passcode. You will need to enter this passcode to perform a factory reset or anytime you use your rabbit r1 to make a purchase.

How to change your security passcode

Use the following steps to change the security passcode on your rabbit r1.

  1. Open the settings menu in one of the following ways:
    • From your r1’s home screen, swipe up or scroll up with the scroll wheel and select the settings card
    • You can also swipe down from the top of any screen to access the quick settings screen, and then tap the gear icon to open settings
  2. Select device
  3. Scroll or swipe down and select security
  4. Select change passcode
  5. Enter your current passcode and tap the check mark to confirm
  6. Enter a new passcode and tap the check mark to confirm
  7. Re-enter the new passcode again and tap the check mark to confirm

How long can I make my security passcode?

Your passcode must be between 4-8 digits long.

What should I do if I forget my current security passcode?

If you forget your passcode, you can unlink your rabbit r1 from your rabbithole account and complete the set up process again.

 

Note: Your journal entries and connections are remembered in rabbithole. You will not have to link your accounts again.

Can I disable my security passcode?

A security passcode is not required with rabbitOS 2. If you want to disable the passcode on your r1, follow these steps.

  1. Open the settings menu in one of the following ways:
    • From your r1’s home screen, swipe up or scroll up with the scroll wheel and select the settings card
    • You can also swipe down from the top of any screen to access the quick settings screen, and then tap the gear icon to open settings
  2. Select device
  3. Scroll or swipe down and select security
  4. Select disable passcode, and then tap continue
  5. Enter your passcode and tap the check mark to confirm

Note: We strongly recommend that you add a security passcode to your r1.
