The translator feature on your rabbit r1 is a two way, or bi-directional, translation mode that works with over 100 languages.

 

Follow the instructions below to start using translator on your r1.

  1. Hold the side button on your r1 and say the languages you want to translate between
  2. Press and hold the side button
  3. While holding the side button, speak naturally into the microphone located on the top of your r1
  4. When you release the side button, r1 will translate into the other language and display the translated text on the screen

Tips for translating conversations with your r1

  • Specify the languages. You must specify the two languages you want to translate between.
  • Let the conversation flow naturally. Languages can be spoken in any order and you do not have to alternate between languages.

  2. Point your r1 at the text you want to translate
  3. Hold the side button and tell your r1 what language you want to translate to
  4. Your r1 will read the translated text out loud and the image will be saved to your rabbithole journal

Tips for translating text in vision mode

Your r1 must be able to capture the text clearly so the words can be translated. The following tips can help you get the best results when translating in vision mode.

  • Watch the viewfinder. Check the viewfinder on your r1’s screen to make sure your text is captured clearly and completely.
  • Move your camera close to the text. Your r1 may have trouble recognizing the letters if the text is too small.
  • Use a microfiber cloth to clean your rabbit eye camera. A dirty lens can make the text too blurry to read.
